Vergers du Monde consists of an operational team, responsible for identifying, understanding, and preserving farming traditional knowledge through exchanges between local and exiled farmers, and a strategic team, made up of members and board members.
Our team
Coming from a family of farmers and curious about the world, Hélène Bourry founded Vergers du Monde after eight years of experience in the non-profit and institutional sectors related to migration.

As an anthropologist, Charlotte Secco specializes in resilience to climate emergencies through lifestyles, consumption patterns, and non-violent resistance.

Boris Mbaihodoum joined the team as a civic service volunteer. He specializes in geosciences and environmental studies, particularly in Chad.

Camille Bru grew up in a family of market gardeners in Lot-et-Garonne, France, before catching the travel bug. She now travels the world with her camera, capturing moments of life both here and elsewhere.
Nadège Femenia has been a driving force since the inception of Vergers du Monde. In parallel, she works as a chartered accountant and coach for businesses.

Mohammad Jan Ali Zada spent most of his life in Afghanistan, working alongside his grandfather who was a farmer. His role is to maintain the connection with the Afghan community in France.

Christian Ilizabaliza Juru, originally from Rwanda, has lived in several African countries. His grandmother passed down knowledge about plants and their uses, which he has successfully preserved.

Coline Mathieu is the Environmental, Quality of Life, and Tree Technician Manager for the city of Noisy-le-Roi, near Paris. Her knowledge of the Île-de-France region, both in urban and rural aspects, is a valuable asset regarding French contexte.

Driven by the theme of sustainable food, Marie Ferlus is a project manager for food and a coordinator at the Cité du Goût et des Saveurs of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts in Auvergne Rhône Alpes.

Marlène Lepoittevin is an ethnobotanist. She possesses valuable knowledge about the use of aromatic and medicinal plants around the world, particularly in the Pays de la Loire, the birthplace of medicinal and aromatic plant production in France.
